We are living in a time that breeds division versus community. Similar historical times include the Civil Right Movement, the Viet Nam war and Black Lives Matter movement. Art was and continues to be a powerful vehicle to reflect our times back to us and illuminate the road to how to do better. “Music That Moves The Needle” highlights how music has had and still has the power to raise social awareness and give hope for a more equitable life for all.
The program includes songs of protest, resistance, and love performed and/or made famous by artists from a variety of diverse cultures and genders. My original songs will also be included. Audience sing a long and discussion will be encouraged.
