I am often nostalgic for the times when I would sit on the floor and open my boxes of old photographs - reliving memories through those worn images on paper. Something about holding the tangible between my fingers makes those memories feel more real to me than the digital images.
Kaleidoscope: derived from the Ancient Greek word καλός (kalos), "beautiful, beauty",[2] εἶδος (eidos), "that which is seen: form, shape"[3] and σκοπέω (skopeō), "to look to, to examine",[4] hence "observation of beautiful forms".
Lyrics
Tattered boxes
Sacred treasures old and worn
Corners torn
Fragmented moments
Scattered like confetti on the floor
A kaleidoscope of memories
Take me back in time
To find
Days forgotten
They come to life upon the page
Like a stage
Faded colors
Exposing all the ways we have changed
A kaleidoscope of memories
Take me back in time
To find
Flashes of life
Reflections left behind
The lens in mind
Captured smiles
Frozen while
Composed inside the frame
Without a sound
They hold the power
Transport me to then
A kaleidoscope of memories
Take me back in time
To find
Covered boxes
Safe until another day
They stay
Waiting and ready
To wander with me back
To yesterday
A kaleidoscope of memories
Take me back in time
To find
Flashes of life
Reflections left behind
The lens in mind
A kaleidoscope of memories
Take me back in time
To find
Flashes of life
Reflections left behind
The lens in mind
