October is the month for painted leaves.
Their rich glow now flashes round the world.
As fruits and leaves and the day itself acquire a bright tint just before they fall, so the year near its setting.
October is its sunset sky; November the later twilight.
-Henry David Thoreau

Modern-folk duo Friction Farm, is a husband and wife team of traveling troubadours. Aidan Quinn and Christine Stay, combine storytelling, social commentary and humor to create songs of everyday life, local heroes, and quirky observations.
Their lyrically rich, harmony-driven songs earned them recognition at Kerrville, Falcon Ridge, and South Florida Folk Festival.
Friction Farm’s latest CD, “So Many Stars,” was inspired by travels across the country witnessing the collision of strong political polarity with personal kindness, the intersection of fragility and breathtaking beauty.

Join friends Peter and Kim for an evening of songs and stories!
Peter and Kim met at NERFA in 2017 and were two of the finalists in the
2020 CTFolk Grassy Hill Songwriting Competition.
Peter Lehndorff writes folk and jazz songs about everyday life. Some are humorous. Some are serious. They are observations about the things that happen to him and the stuff he sees. There are stories about cars; what he eats; and the places he has lived. In addition to his slice of life songs, Peter is now mixing the funny with the serious; the romantic with the eccentric. It reflects his recent experiences. His song The Huntington’s Waltz is an imaginary goodbye from someone with dementia. Recent songs feature old friends like Tracy Grammer and Jim Henry. A new CD recording project is in the works.
