First Night Sandwich 2020, is an alcohol free New Years Celebration that will kick off Tuesday December 31st, 2019 at 4:00 pm and run until 9:00 pm. This community celebration of music, art, and dance is open to all who wish to enjoy an eclectic evening of holiday fun.

There will be ice sculptures, lighted giants in the village and along Route 6A, children’s crafts, an enchanting fairy garden, food vendors, storytellers and jugglers.

At 8pm there will a Revelers Parade, followed by the Grand Finale Countdown, and fireworks. over the pond. Buttons will be 10 dollars in advance, 12 dollars at the door.

Kim Moberg with Heather Swanson The Mews Coffee House Open Mic Featured Artists

The Mews Coffee House and Restaurant, 429 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA

Coffeehouse @ The Mews, an open mic for writers, playwrights, poets, singers, songwriters, comedians, etc. starts season number 29 in November 2019 through May 2019 with host and co-founder, singer songwriter Peter Donnelly. The other co-founder is Mews owner and radio/television personality Ron Robin.

Coffeehouse performances are on Mondays at 7PM and is a benefit ($4 suggested) for various community organizations including Community Radio WOMR and Provincetown Theatre. Open mic sign begins at 6:30pm. Each week there is a featured performer.

Sponsors who help with transportation, lodging, meals, equipment, and support include Land’s End Inn, Somerset House Inn, Provincetown Magazine, The Mews Restaurant, Wired Puppy, Dr. Scott Allegretti/Provincetown Dental Arts, 141 Natural Market, and 102.3 The Dunes.

A portion of the evening is recorded for broadcast on WOMR 92.1 throughout the year.
